EmpowRise is a fully funded entrepreneurship program designed to support Black, Indigenous, and other People of Colour entrepreneurs in Alberta. The program provides practical business training, mentorship, coaching, and opportunities to build meaningful connections.
EmpowRise is intended for eligible BIPOC entrepreneurs in Alberta who are interested in launching a business or growing an existing venture. Additional eligibility requirements may apply during each program intake.
No, the program is offered free of charge to ensure accessibility for all BIPOC entrepreneurs in our community.
Not necessarily. EmpowRise is designed to support both aspiring entrepreneurs developing a business idea and existing business owners who are ready to strengthen or grow their venture.
Participants may take part in practical business training, mentorship and coaching, intensive business bootcamps, networking opportunities, and a pitch competition.
EmpowRise is delivered 100% virtually, allowing eligible entrepreneurs across Alberta to participate in live training, mentorship, coaching, and other program activities from wherever they are located.
