Supporting BIPOC Entrepreneurs Across Alberta

EmpowRise is a fully funded entrepreneurship program created to support Black, Indigenous, and other People of Colour (BIPOC) entrepreneurs across Alberta.

Through practical business training, mentorship, coaching, and meaningful community connections, participants gain the knowledge, confidence, and support needed to launch a new venture or grow an existing business.

More than a training program, EmpowRise is a community where entrepreneurs can develop their ideas, build valuable relationships, celebrate their identities, and create lasting economic impact.

EmpowRise is delivered by Community Futures Grande Prairie & Region in collaboration with the Alberta Regional Innovation Network and the BIPOC Foundation.

Participants may take part in practical business training, mentorship and coaching, intensive business bootcamps, networking opportunities, and a pitch competition.

EmpowRise is delivered 100% virtually, allowing eligible entrepreneurs across Alberta to participate in live training, mentorship, coaching, and other program activities from wherever they are located.
